Privacy Policy

Your private space stays private

Last updated: September 19, 2026

GlowUra is built private-by-default: your journals, mood check-ins, and personal wellness data belong to you alone and are never shown to other members. This page explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

01Overview

GlowUra is a supportive wellness platform: private mood tracking, journaling, a positive community feed, guided activities, and interactive ebooks. We collect only the information needed to provide those features, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

The short version: your mood entries, journals, self-care check-ins, AI insights, and support conversations are visible only to you (and, where needed to operate the service, our small admin team). Community posts, videos, comments, and public profile information are visible to other members by design — you always choose what to share there.

02Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use GlowUra:

  • •Account information — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our platform), optional profile photo, username, and the wellness goals and preferences you choose during onboarding.
  • •Wellness data — mood check-ins and optional notes, journal entries (typed or voice-recorded), gratitude entries, self-care checklists, and your responses to daily commitments. This is your most sensitive data and it is treated as strictly private.
  • •Community content — posts, videos, comments, reactions, and mood-mosaic tiles you choose to share, plus the followers and badges connected to your public profile.
  • •AI personalization data — an interest profile the app learns from what you watch and like, and the AI-generated insights, prompts, and activities created for you.
  • •Engagement history — which community videos you watched, what you liked or bookmarked, and reading progress in your ebooks.
  • •Support records — support tickets and team-chat conversations with the GlowUra team.
  • •Technical records — a device identifier used to recognize your devices for session security, two-factor authentication codes, notifications addressed to you, and security/audit logs kept by the service.

03Your private wellness data

Mood entries, journals, self-care check-ins, daily commitments, AI insights, and engagement history are stored under your account and are not visible to any other member. They are never published to the community feed, never included in your public profile, and never shared with other users.

Journal entries are additionally designed to stay private on your screen: they cannot be shared from the app, and screenshot capture is discouraged where the platform supports it.

04Community content and your public profile

Content you post to the community — posts, videos, comments, reactions, and mood-mosaic tiles — is visible to other members, along with your public profile (display name, username, avatar, badges, and growth stats like streaks). You can edit or delete your own posts and videos at any time from your profile.

All community content passes automated moderation that checks it against our community guidelines. Content flagged by moderation is hidden until a human reviewer approves it.

05How the AI features use your data

GlowUra uses third-party AI providers to generate your personalized content: mood-aware journal prompts, wellness insights, daily commitments, guided activities, polls, and occasionally short personalized videos.

To personalize these features, relevant data from your account (for example, your recent moods or the themes you engage with) is sent to the AI provider solely to generate content for you. AI providers are processing this data on our instructions, not to build profiles of you for anyone else, and your private data is never shown to other members.

AI-generated content is supportive by design but can be imperfect — treat it as encouragement, not as professional advice.

06Payments and receipts

Payments (memberships, ebooks, and donations) are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep records of what you purchased, your license keys, and your receipts so you always have proof of ownership.

Receipts and license keys are emailed to you from our own Google Workspace account (no-reply@glowura.com) and stored in your in-app receipt history.

07Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that keep GlowUra running:

  • •Our hosting and database platform, which stores your data and enforces the isolation between accounts.
  • •Stripe, which handles all payments.
  • •Google, which provides sign-in (if you choose Google login) and sends our transactional email.
  • •Our AI providers, which generate your personalized content under our instructions.
  • •We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our members.

08Sessions, devices, and local storage

By default your login session expires when you close the app, unless you choose "Stay logged in on this device." Your theme, language, and other preferences are stored locally on your device so the app looks and feels the way you left it.

The Devices page in your profile shows the devices associated with your account, and two-factor authentication is available for everyone and enforced for admin accounts.

09Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active so your history, streaks, and progress remain available to you. If you want your account or specific data (a journal, a mood history, a post) deleted, contact us through the in-app support page or team chat and we will delete it, usually within 30 days.

Some records must be kept for legal or accounting purposes (for example payment receipts); where that applies, only the minimum is retained.

10How we protect your data

Every account's data is isolated with row-level security, so one member can never read or modify another member's private records. All admin tools require an admin role verified on the server, admin actions are logged to an audit trail, and sensitive endpoints use rate limiting and input sanitization.

No system is perfect. If you ever believe your data has been exposed, contact us through the support page and we will investigate immediately.

11Your rights

No matter where you live, you can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; export or correct it; delete your account or specific data; and stop particular uses of your data. Members in regions with laws like the GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (United States) have these rights by law — we honor them for everyone.

To use any of these rights, contact us through the in-app support page or team chat. We will verify you own the account before making changes.

12Children

GlowUra is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account.

13Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect, and update the "last updated" date above.

14Contact us

Questions or requests about your privacy? Reach us any time through the in-app support page or the team chat — a real person on the GlowUra team will answer you there.
